Introduction
In the 50-series laptop race, one more laptop has arrived. So, we have the Asus ROG Strix G16. If anyone is unfamiliar, I will explain G16 and Scar 16 in this video. By the way, TUF comes at the bottom of the hierarchy of gaming laptops. The G series comes after that. And the Scar series is a premium laptop with a premium price point.

According to the power draw. This laptop is also of Rs 2,60,000. How much sense does it make in Rs 2,60,000?
And at this price point, we will talk about the competitive laptops later. We get a laptop like this with a 280W charger, according to the power draw.
With the Asus ROG Strix G16, gamers can expect unparalleled performance and aesthetics that set a new standard in gaming laptops.

The Asus ROG Strix G16 showcases impressive design elements and powerful hardware, making it a top choice for serious gamers.
Build & Design
- The top lid has the typical ROG branding. There is no significant change from the previous G16.
- There is a logo on the back. A long line is there. The top lid is made of metal. The interior and the bottom are made of Polycarbonate. You can open the bottom with your hands.

- The laptop weighs 2.55 kg, and with the charger, it reaches up to 3.4 kg.
- It comes in the typical gaming laptop category. It has a 360° RGB bar in the front, back, left, right and all around. You can customise its RGB settings in the Armoury Crate software.
- This laptop has an LED display on the top lid. Its logo comes with RGB. You can even enable numpad on its trackpad. Which is a touch numpad,

You can open the lid with one hand, and it goes up to 100°. The new hinge that they have introduced, i.e. Gull Wing-hinge, is present in this as well.
- The quality of the hinge is very stable. We don’t get screen wobble. The top lid flex is also not there. The keyboard flex is also not there.

Specifications
- Asus ROG Strix G16 has a Core Ultra 9 275HX processor with 24 cores and 24 threads. It comes with NPU, but it is a 13-top NPU.
- GPU is RTX 5070 Ti, it has a 12GB V RAM graphics card with 140W TGP. It has a 32GB DDR5 RAM with 5600 megatransfers per second speed.

- And there is a single slot occupied. That means if you want to upgrade, you can upgrade up to 64GB without wasting RAM in the extra slot.
- It has a 1TB Gen 4 SSD with read and write speeds. It has 2 full-size slots in which you can easily upgrade up to 2TB per slot.
- It has the latest Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth version 5.4 connectivity.
If you are buying a gaming laptop, NPU doesn’t have a big role in it. GPU and CPU handle everything very well. Battery backup doesn’t have a big role here. It is more crucial in thin and light.
Benchmarks and Performance

And even if you have a 90 series, it will vary according to the task you are doing.
The system didn’t crash, and you won’t put the system under full load for an hour. This is just a test.
The system works with stability. There were no issues.

Alan Wake 2 is a very intense game. At high settings, it gives a good frame rate in raw performance. It is giving a good performance on 5070. But if you apply frame generation, you get a good frame rate. But as soon as you apply ray tracing at ultra settings, the GPU struggles. You can get playable 50-55 FPS by applying frame generation. Then comes 4K. If you apply frame generation while ray tracing is off, we are getting a good playable 55 FPS. But if you apply ray tracing, the GPU struggles. Now, comes multi-frame generation. As soon as I applied it, I got good frame
rates even with ray tracing. It is beneficial here, but you are getting a visual loss.
